Mile-by-Mile: Block Peak Route
0.0 Pulloff on right (north) on the Titus Canyon Road (4,807ft.). Walk south toward Block Peak. Take one of the ravines up the side of the peak. Scrambling should be little more than Class 2 in most places. As you approach the summit block, the scrambling will be more difficult – you should be able to find a Class 2 or at worst Class 3 way to the top if you look for it. You may need to circle around to the southern side of the peak to find an easier way up. (36.826679°, -117.000672°)
0.6 Block Peak (5,910ft.). Enjoy views (including Titanothere Peak, Thimble Peak, and the Grapevine Mountains) from the top before returning to the Titus Canyon Road. (36.820055°, -117.000064°)
